On May 2, 2024, signature-gatherers submitted 777 signatures to the St. Helena City Clerk to qualify the St. Helena Agritourism Initiative for the November ballot. On May 21, 2024, the St. Helena City Clerk, in consultation with the Napa County Elections Office, affirmed that a sufficient number of valid voter signatures had been submitted to qualify the initiative. The St. Helena City Council was informed of this development at their May 28, 2024 meeting, and voted unanimously to authorize an impact study under California Elections Code § 9212.

After reviewing the 9212 study at their June 25, 2024 meeting, the St. Helena City Council voted 5-0 to place the St. Helena Agritourism Initiative (now known as Measure B) on the November 5, 2024 ballot, which will allow Measure B to be decided on by City of St. Helena voters.

The St. Helena Resort is excited to announce that 5th Generation St. Helenan Krisi Raymond is leading the charge for a citizen-led initiative that could put the St. Helena Resort project before voters this fall. The initiative was filed with the St. Helena City Clerk on March 13, 2024. On March 28, 2024, the City of St. Helena issued a Ballot Title & Summary for the St. Helena Agritourism Initiative. For more information on the initiative process, please click here.

Last fall, the applicants behind the St. Helena Resort project also hosted two community meetings on October 25-26, 2023 at the St. Helena High School gymnasium. An invitation to these meetings was mailed to all residents and businesses within the City of St. Helena. We thank the approximately 75 people who attended these meetings -- if you were unable to attend, we hope to connect with you in the future.

These applicant-led meetings were the public’s first of many opportunities to share input on our project.
